DEARBORN, Mich. — United Auto Workers kinship leaders have nominated tip Ford Motor Co. adjudicator Bob King to be the union’s subsequent president.
UAW President Ron Gettelfinger voiced King’s assignment Wednesday during the assembly of kinship leaders nearby Detroit.
Gettelfinger says the 63-year-old King is “relentless as well as tenacious” as well as the good negotiator. King pronounced he was shamed by the nomination.
UAW members will elect the brand new boss in June. Gettelfinger is stepping down since of the long-standing kinship process of timid during age 65.
